I think that because of the kind of political voices we’re choosing to elevate in our state right now, we generally assign expressions of passion to expressions of anger.
But being pissed doesn’t HAVE to be the only thing that drives you to action. Having a really really great day with a kid jumping from the zoo to the library to the splash pad knowing that you and your community fully funded these things solely for your enjoyment has a way of radicalizing you to make sure that more kids and parents in your community get to have those experiences.
You don’t have to be mad to want more or make a change. Give playgrounds the same energy they give pitchforks.
